Nigeria’s education system relies heavily on the dedication and hard work of its teachers. However, many of these educators struggle to make ends meet due to low salaries, inadequate resources, and challenging working conditions. Despite their essential role in shaping the future of our nation, they often find themselves in precarious financial situations, which can lead to burnout and diminished enthusiasm for teaching. According to the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) the country has 2.3 million registered teachers on its database. The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) revealed that Nigeria has 1.68 million teachers.
